3 year-olds ROCK!

We are lucky to have my sister, Suzi and my niece, Mari living with us. It is so much fun to have a youngling in the house again. Mari is three and very inquisitive about the world around her. She loves to feed the goldfish in our aquarium, play on the slides in the park outside the house, and watch Sponge Bob with Jim. We recently celebrated her third birthday, the gang was all here and a good time was had by all! Cousin Amy helps Mari open up her Rapuzel doll from Tangled!

New Year's Resolutions.....2011

2011 has been quite the year so far..... I have learned that one must be specific, I mean very specific about your goals....My goals for 2011 were to be healthier; I should have been more specific...my arms are in very good shape....Due to a knee injury on Jan. 2 (dislocated my knee while reaching for salt in the kitchen)...yes not as exciting as salsa dancing, skiing, or whatever! I have been teaching in a wheelchair for almost two months....crutches when not in the wheelchair. Jim has been a real trooper, he has been doing all of the shopping, etc. This has been a real learning experience, I've learned to be patient, have become better at accepting help from others, and have learned to be strategic in my daily movements, oh yes, I have also learned that you can not pull a cart while on crutches.

Thanksgiving 2010

Happy Thanksgiving to one and all!
May everyone share in the joy of this wonderous time of year and realize how very lucky we are to live in a country founded under the guidance of a kind and loving Heavenly Father. Take time to enjoy the beauty all around you...the falling leaves and their colors, the laughter of children, gingerbread cookies, and the love of family and friends. Don't let a day go by without sharing your love with those around you!

Everyone is on the Mend!

April has been a very trying and showery month for us. Jim has been in and out of the hospital with medical issues, I was in a car accident, my Grandma Graham passed away, and my children's father finally lost his battle with ALS.

Through all of these trials, I have held strong to the iron rod. Jim is on the mend, as am I, and we are both looking forward to the end of April showers and the flowers that come in May.

Goings....

We are sad to report that Dotty is no longer with our family. She became very ill, and had to be taken back to the SPCA for care.....and they decided to keep her instead of adopting her out....which is for the best, Pigeon the mean little kitty didn't like sharing her home with any other feline. We are back to being a one cat family, and it looks like it will be that way for some time.

Goings and Comings...

There have been many changes in our household of late...Amy moved out and is now in her own apartment with some really cool roommates...her brother and sister! Along with Amy leaving, a new member was added to our family on Saturday and her name is Dot. She is a 8 month old black and white kitten. She is shy at first, but not afraid to speak her mind! She and Pigeon are getting along as well as can be expected...both are staying in semi-neutral corners and are sharing our bed...

Celebrating our Anniversary

Jim and I celebrated our second wedding anniversary today... I gave Jim the Wii Tiger Woods Golf game, and he gave me a beautiful, red Shelby Super Snake radio-controlled car. As soon as we got back from dinner I was able to play with it...first I chased the cat around...it is really cool.

Christmas Party with The Family

This last Saturday we went to Jackson to celebrate Christmas with my family.
Suzi, Gary, and Mari were there, along with Trisha, Megan, Amy & Alex, Shane, Nancy, Mom and Dad.
Mari is really getting into opening presents this year...she is such a cutie, and so intent on studying her new toy!

It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year!

Christmas at Disneyland... One of my favorite rides is Small World....and I seem to be the only one in the family that truly appreciates how wonderful, educational and how darn cute the ride is. Here are some of the wreaths that line the lane on your way to Small World...
It is so sad that they will be tearing down this beautiful bridge! I have always enjoyed this fantastic bridge as I enter California Adeventure...

The castle at night was so pretty and festive...
I was lucky enough to see the fireworks and snow! I just adore fireworks!

Disneyland at Christmas Time!

November was a month full of special events....first our Sealing in the Temple, and then a trip to my homeland, Disneyland! My dad and sister, Nancy went to Disneyland the second week of November...this just so happened to be the first weekend that Disneyland was decorated for Christmas. It was so beautiful, all the wonderful Christmas decorations, and lots of Christmas music. Anyone who know me, knows that Christmas music starts in my home on November 1. I loved all the flowers, and the poinsettas with dew still on them were beautiful!

SEALED!

A big thank you to all who attended our Sealing on November 7th. It was a beautiful and very blessed day, and the ceremony was magical. I was worried that no one would show up, and I was very happy to see those that we invited there to share in our magical day and blessed sealing.

This is the fulfillment of all of my dreams since I converted to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I dreamed of being sealed to a good, kind, man...and I found him.
(He shaved the beard and moustache especially for the occassion!)
